Today I was listening to a mix CD when Pink's "Dear Mr. President" came on. I love the song but today it took on a whole new meaning for me. By the time the second verse came rolling around and Pink asks, for a second time "How do you sleep while the rest of us cry? How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?" I began to cry.
It dawned on me that things are far worse than I could have ever imagined, because Bush sleeps just fine at night knowing, and commending his Gaggle of Thugs who attend protests and jump Gold Star Fathers while desecrating the image of a his son, a fallen soldier who died for Bush's lies.
He calls this a "proper support of the troops". He celebrates this patriotism with a luncheon bash just for his Thugs.
