Why Can't People See the Obvious?

I finally got off my duff and started a myspace page, mainly to network and whatnot...however, I came across this group that my husband signed me up for, and I ran across this thread Liberal Wacko.

In the original post it states:

Listen to this liberal wacko try to explain why taking over Iraq would be a "quagmire", the ridiculous term these liberal nutjobs keep throwing around:

April 15, 1994

Now, I don't know, and can't help but think that this is a joke - the whole thread in fact. Maybe some inside gag, drier than dry sarcasm (and I love dry humor - but damn!). I can't believe that this could have been posted in earnest.

Why?

Because every participant on the thread has failed to notice, or mention, that the proclaimed "Liberal Wacko" is Vice President Dick Cheney.

Darth Cheney, Evil man extraordinaire...

Wacko yes...

Liberal....?

Not so much.

Never mind the giant slime covered hypocritical can-o-worms his '94 interview opens up with regards to the invasion of Iraq under his Vice Presidency. Back then it was a "quagmire", but now its just profit....

I hope this thread is a joke. I hope people aren't honestly this thick. I've been sputtering all night because I can't post in groups yet. I need to know that this isn't reality. If it is...

No wonder our country has begun to self destruct.

You think that's bad, you'll have a rupture if you saw the kinds if questions that are asked over at Yahoo groups. There's trolling, and there's ignorance. It amazes me how many seem to think the Democrats are socialists ...

They were probably saying it with some snark. Though there could have been some trolling involved. ie, a left-wing liberal person posing as a right wing person posting a quote from dick cheney without saying it was from dick cheney, to provoke the mouth breathing right wingers into a frenzy and then at the very end go 'gotcha! that was dick cheney!'

Who the fuck knows. The games people play on the internet are beyond the pale. Subversion and propaganda abounds in all knooks and crannies.

My own small experience with myspace scared the crap out of me. I didnt realize there so many young NeoCon right wing fucks.

Then again, they could be 40 something operatives being paid by the CNP, AEI, and other nepharious right wing groups to pose on Myspace and Facebook as young kids who think we need to torture and give up our freedoms to be safe.

That or we are a nation of total fucking idiots.

MySpace is like Saturday night at the disco. Too hectic to be pleasant.

Yes, to all three of you guys. myspace is a nuthouse, I think it had to have been done with some snark (although the guy doesn't seem all that bright)

and I have met with, and talked with people who think Democrats are Socialists, Anarchists and Socialists are Communists, and anti-war protesters are dim-witted hippie era throwbacks with a splash of Communism for spice.

It boggles the brain I tell you....
